Here's what you should know before attending next week's Breakthroughs in Muscular Dystrophy conference on site in Chicago or virtually.
We hope you're looking forward to the inaugural Breakthroughs in Muscular Dystrophy conference! Below you'll find important information to help you prepare.
In-person attendees will join us at The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago (909 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611). The event will start with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and the program will start at 8:30 a.m. CT in the Great Lakes East room of the hotel.
Please note: All attendees will have live access to our virtual platform throughout the meeting and for 30 days following its conclusion. To access the platform, please see the instructions below.
On-site Registration
Pick up your badge at on-site registration, which will open at 7:30 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Great Lakes Foyer.
Full registration hours are 7:30 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 19 and 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Nov. 20.
You should have received an email with a QR code that you will present when you pick up your badge for the event. If you have any questions or need help with this, please contact info@asgct.org.
Session Locations
All general sessions and oral abstract presentations take place in the Great Lakes East of the hotel. Poster reception and exhibits take place in the Great Lakes West, Ontario, and Erie rooms.

Breakfast: 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.
Coffee Breaks:
Lunch: 12:05 p.m. – 1:05 p.m.
Poster Reception and Exhibits: 5:45 – 7 p.m.
Day 2 (Nov. 20)
Breakfast: 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.
Coffee Break: 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. (Paid presentation by Catalyst Pharmaceuticals)
Connect Virtually
You'll be able to see the full attendee list before the event begins. Attendees can send connection requests to each other in the virtual platform. If the request is accepted, you can exchange messages right in the app.
Poster Reception and Exhibits
Before you head to dinner, mingle in the Great Lakes West, Ontario, and Erie rooms on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 5:45 – 7 p.m. This is the best time to view the poster abstracts and speak with the authors! Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.
