ASGCT Grants and Awards

2017 ASGCT Awards

Each year ASGCT gives out several awards, including the Outstanding Achievement Award, the Outstanding New Investigator Awards, and the Sonia Skarlatos Public Service Award.

Outstanding Achievement Award

The Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes an ASGCT Member who has achieved a pioneering research success, a specific high impact accomplishment, or a lifetime of significant scientific contributions to the fields of gene and/or cell therapy. Only ASGCT Members can submit nominations for this award. Members of the Advisory Council are not eligible to submit nominations for this award.

The nomination consists of two (2) letters of recommendation. The ASGCT Advisory Council reviews all nominations submitted by Members, and then makes a recommendation to the ASGCT Board of Directors.

The deadline to submit nominations for the 2017 Outstanding Achievement Award is December 12, 2016.


Sonia Skarlatos Public Service Award

The ASGCT Sonia Skarlatos Public Service Award will recognize a person or group that has consistently fostered and enhanced the field of genetic and/or cellular therapy.

The nomination consists of two (2) letters of recommendation. ASGCT Members and non-Members can submit nominations to the ASGCT Executive Office via an online form, by email to the ASGCT Executive Office at info@asgct.org, or by fax to 1-414-276-3349.

The ASGCT Advisory Council reviews all nominations and then makes a recommendation to the ASGCT Board of Directors.

Nominations for the 2017 Sonia Skarlatos Public Service Award will be accepted on a rolling basis.


Outstanding New Investigator Awards

The Outstanding New Investigator Award recognizes ASGCT Members who are newly independent researchers. Only ASGCT Members can submit nominations for this award.

The nomination consists of two (2) letters of recommendation. The ASGCT Advisory Council reviews all nominations submitted by Members, and then makes a recommendation to the ASGCT Board of Directors.

Nomination letters should be emailed to to the ASGCT Executive Office at info@asgct.org.

The deadline to submit nominations for the 2017 Outstanding New Investigator Awards is December 12, 2016.
