Mission and Goals
The American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ASGCT) is a professional non-profit medical and scientific organization whose mission is to advance knowledge, awareness, and education leading to the discovery and clinical application of genetic and cellular therapies to alleviate human disease. ASGCT is the largest medical professional organization representing researchers and scientists dedicated to discovering new gene and cell therapies. ASGCT was established in 1996, and has grown to 2,000 members from around the world.
Over the next five years, the Society's goals are the following:
The ASGCT 2nd Translational Science Training Course and 15th Annual Meeting will serve as comprehensive forums to achieve these goals.
The 2nd Translational Science Training Course will be held Tuesday, May 15th. The ASGCT 15th Annual Meeting will begin on the morning of Wednesday, May 16th and continue through the evening of Saturday, May 19, 2012. Exhibits will be open Wednesday, May 16th through Friday, May 18th.
Please refrain from distributing promotional materials.
It is the policy of ASGCT that except for designated ASGCT staff, no cameras are permitted in the meeting sessions, exhibit hall, or poster sessions. Please refrain from taking any photos in those locations. Audio and/or videotaping is strictly prohibited.
To register for the Translational Science Training Course and 15th Annual Meeting, please complete the registration form. Registration fees increase after April 23, 2012. Please note that the Training Course and Annual Meeting have separate registration fees.
The Training Course registration fee includes access to the entire course; morning and afternoon coffee breaks and lunch; and enduring course materials.
The Annual Meeting registration fee includes access to exhibit and poster halls, education sessions, scientific symposia, oral abstract sessions, plenary sessions, and corporate symposia; registration bag and materials; morning coffee breaks; receptions in exhibit hall; access to Internet stations; and use of the ASGCT Job Information Exchange.

Local Registrants Discount
Attendees in Philadelphia may register for one day of the Annual Meeting, rather than the full, four-day meeting. You may choose any date from Wednesday, May 16th - Saturday, May 19th.

The ASGCT Board of Directors voted to not offer CME credit for the 15th Annual Meeting due to rising costs. For more information click here.

Refund requests should be submitted in writing to the ASGCT Executive Office prior to May 4, 2012. A $35 processing fee will be charged for all refunds. We regret that refunds cannot be allowed for requests postmarked or received after May 3, 2012.
Annual Meeting name badges and final programs will be distributed at the registration desk located on the East Bridge, Level Two of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The registration desk will be open during the following hours:

If you require special accommodations under the ADA in order to fully participate in the meeting or the course, please send a written description of your needs along with your registration form. Please notify us of your needs by May 3, 2012.
At the 15th Annual Meeting, there will be a forum for academic institutions and companies to promote open positions to meeting attendees. If you have open positions, please bring multiple copies of your job posting to the meeting. Similarly, if you are seeking a job, please bring multiple copies of your résumé to submit. ASGCT will not take responsibility for résumés sent to the ASGCT office in response to a job posting. If you would like more information about this service, please contact David Finley at dfinley@asgct.org. The Job exchange area will be located inside the Hall A of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
Internet access will be available to meeting attendees in Exhibit Hall A. Limited computer stations will be provided.
ASGCT is offering sixty travel grants to the Annual Meeting to postdoctoral fellows and graduate students who are Associate Members of ASGCT. The grants will be based on the highest abstract scores, as determined by the ASGCT Abstract Review Committee. Please note: Meeting registration fees are non-reimbursable; travel grant recipients must register for the meeting and pay the registration fees.
