Taxis
All taxi rates are based per trip not per person. Most taxis can accommodate up to 3 passengers. In some cases certain vehicle types can accommodate 4 passengers. There is a $28.50 flat rate from the airport to the Central Philadelphia area. This area encompasses: Fairmount Ave (most Northern point), South Street (most Southern point) Delaware River (most eastern point) and University City/38th Street most Western point. Any destination that falls within these boundaries are eligible for the Center City flat rate. Other fares based on the meter which based upon entry (flag drop) is $2.70 and $2.30 per mile or portion thereof. An additional $1.00 per passenger ($3.00 maximum) after the first passenger will be charged on flat rate trips between the Airport and Center City for passengers over age 12.
High Speed Rail Service to Downtown Philadelphia
The best travel option when traveling between Center City and Philadelphia International Airport is by Regional Rail. Trains stop at all major Philadelphia International Airport terminals, and reach Center City Philadelphia in approximately 25 minutes, with one intermediate stop. Airport Line service runs seven days a week, between 5:00 a.m. and 12 Midnight.
The cost of a one-way fare ticket between the Airport and the Marriott/Convention Center area is $10.
