I hope you will join me for two exciting American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy programs in 2012: the 2nd Translational Science Training Course and the 15th Annual Meeting. Both programs will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
The ASGCT Translational Science Training Course: Best Practices and Lessons Learned will feature new content in 2012, with sessions dedicated to clinical trials, regulatory affairs, and biostatistics as well as manufacturing, preclinical studies and assays. The Translational Science Training Course sold out in 2011 so be sure to register early for the 2012 Course!
After the Translational Science Training Course on May 15th, the Society's 15th Annual Meeting will take place May 16 - May 19, 2012. The expanded program will feature multiple new sessions with a focus on international collaborations, including a Global Gene Therapy Summit, Global Regulatory Symposium, and a session planned by the American and French Muscular Dystrophy Associations.
Each day of the Annual Meeting will begin with a plenary lecture by a prominent member of our field. This year, I am honored to announce that Dr. Craig Mello, the 2006 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine will deliver a plenary lecture.
In addition, Dr. David Williams, the 2012 Outstanding Achievement Award winner, will present a retrospective of his work on May 17th.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to organizing the 2012 programs and I look forward to seeing you in Philly in May!
Sincerely,
Jude
