Special Ticket Sessions

There will be a limited number of sessions that require tickets for admittance at the 4th Annual Meeting, including the Meet the Professor Lunch sessions and the new HSV Amplicon Dinner and Colloquium. Tickets for these sessions are not included in the regular registration fees to attend the meeting. 

HSV Amplicon Dinner and Colloquium
(Ticketed Session)

Chair: Xandra Breakefield, PhD
This session will include a social hour, dinner and scientific presentations/discussion that focus on innovations in HSV amplicon vectors. The working dinner will be held Saturday, June 2 from 7 pm-10 pm. Tickets are $20 and a cash bar will be available. This event is supported by Cantab, Genzyme, MediGene, Inc. and Prestwick Scientific Capital, Inc.

Meet the Professor Sessions
(Ticketed Session)

These interactive sessions on Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1 will provide an opportunity for meeting participants to interact with experts and discuss topics related to their research. A lunch will be served with the program which will begin at 12:15 pm and run for approximately one hour.

Please note: Tickets for the Meet the Professor sessions are extremely limited. You must have a ticket to gain entrance into a session. Ushers will be collecting tickets at the door of each session. You may register for a session in advance of the meeting by completing the registration form.

Clinical Gene Transfer Training Course
(Separate Registration Required)

In order to help clinical investigators and key collaborators meet existing and new federal regulatory mandates on clinical gene transfer studies, the American Society of Gene Therapy (ASGT) is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring a comprehensive training course in conjunction with its 4th Annual Meeting in Seattle, WA, May 30 - June 3, 2001. The course is being co-organized by the Food and Drug Administration, the Office of Biotechnology Activities at the National Institutes of Health, the Office for Human Research Protection and the ASGT Education Committee. Participants who complete the entire training course will earn appropriate continuing medical education credit, an ASGT Certificate of Completion and be listed on an ASGT Registry.

The two-day course will be held on May 29-30, 2001 at the Westin Seattle, immediately prior to ASGT’s 4th Annual Meeting. Participants must register separately for the training couse and additional registration fees apply. Space is limited. Please see course insert in Preliminary Program.

Corporate Symposia
ASGT provides a limited number of industry partners the opportunity to host dinner symposia during the Annual Meeting, based on approval of individual program proposals. These symposia provide a venue for identifying and discussing new trends and discoveries in the field of gene therapy. The supporters are responsible for the content and coordination of their symposium. The corporate symposia are not eligible for continuing medical education (CME) units from the Society.
