Outstanding New Investigator Award Nominee Form

Congratulations on being nominated for the ASGCT Outstanding New Investigator Award (ONI). Up to four Outstanding New Investigators will be recognized at the ASGCT 15th Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania based on their contributions to the field of gene and cell therapy.

Up to four Outstanding New Investigators will be recognized at the ASGCT 15th Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania based on their contributions to the field of gene and cell therapy.

Criteria for this award include:

  1. Nominees must be 10 or fewer years out from their first active independent position;
  2. Candidates must be Active Members in good standing of the Society;
  3. Candidates must be independent investigators (in the judgment of the ASGCT Advisory Council) conducting original research in basic science, technology development and/or clinical translation in the field of gene and cell therapy;
  4. Candidates must be nominated by two (or more) ASGCT Active Members in good standing;
  5. Awardees must be available to give a presentation of their work at the 15th Annual Meeting on May 16th - 19th.

Nomination materials include:

A CV in the format of an NIH biosketch, with the exception that ALL publications should be listed. This should also include education, current and past appointments, past awards, ALL peer-reviewed publications, and previous and current research grant support.


Selection of nominee's two best papers, at least one of which is an example of his/her independent work;



A document of 2 pages or less summarizing their contribution to the field.
