Outstanding Achievement Award Nominee Form

Congratulations on being nominated for the ASGCT Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA). The OAA recognizes an ASGCT Active Member who has achieved a pioneering research success, a specific high impact accomplishment, or a lifetime of significant contributions to the field of gene and cell therapy.

The ASGCT Outstanding Achievement Award will recognize an ASGCT Active Member who has achieved a pioneering research success, a specific high impact accomplishment, or a lifetime of significant contributions to the field of gene and cell therapy.

Criteria for this award include:

  1. Candidates must be Active Members in good standing of the Society;
  2. Candidates must be independent investigators (in the judgment of the ASGCT Advisory Council) conducting original research in basic science, technology development and/or clinical translation in the field of gene and cell therapy;
  3. Candidates must be nominated by one (or more) ASGCT Active Members in good standing;
  4. Awardees must be available to give a presentation of their work at the the upcoming ASGCT Annual Meeting.

Nomination materials include:

A CV in the format of an NIH biosketch, with the exception that ALL publications should be listed. This should also include education, current and past appointments, past awards, ALL peer-reviewed publications, and previous and current research grant support.


A list of previous researchers who trained under the nominee, along with their current professional position and institutional affiliation;



PDFs of up to three papers on which the nomination is based;




A 2 page summary of their major contributions to the field of gene and cell therapy.
