Distinguished Service Award Nomination Form

Criteria:
New in 2013, the ASGCT Distinguished Service Award will recognize a person or group that has consistently fostered and enhanced the field of genetic and cellular therapy. Both ASGCT Members and non-Members are eligible to receive the award. The award will be presented to the winner(s) at a plenary session during the 16th Annual Meeting of the Society in May 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

Nominations:
ASGCT Members and non-Members can submit nominations to the ASGCT Executive Office via this online form, by email to the ASGCT Executive Office at info@asgct.org or by fax to 1-414-276-3349. Nominations will be reviewed by the ASGCT Advisory Council. The Advisory Council will submit a recommendation to the ASGCT Board of Directors for a final vote.

Two nominations letters are required for each nominee. The nomination letters should be no more than 1,000 words in length and include the following information:

  • An explanation of how the nominee has advanced the field of gene and cell therapy through governmental agencies, public policy groups, or non-governmental foundations, charitable and/or foundation organizations;
  • Information on any service by the nominee on oversight and regulatory bodies;
  • Examples of how the nominee had contributed to public and professional educational programs that have fostered broad and enlightened awareness of the field of gene and cellular therapy; and/or
  • An explanation of how the nominee as a bio-pharma representative has contributed to exceptional advancements in the field.
