ASGCT is an inclusive organization that seeks a broad membership who complies with the highest standards of scientific, professional and ethical conduct. The ASGCT membership includes researchers and clinicians from academia and bio-industry, representatives from foundations and patient advocacy groups as well as students and post-doctoral fellows with an interest in the gene and cell therapy field.

Active Members
Individuals who have manifested an interest in any discipline important to gene therapy, cell therapy, or manufacturing technologies for gene and cell delivery, as evidenced by work in the field are eligible for Active Membership. Active Members include researchers and clinicians from academia and bio-industry as well as representatives from foundations and patient advocacy groups. By joining the Society, Active Members are eligible to serve on Committees, run for elected offices, vote in elections, and participate in program planning for future ASGCT programs.

Associate Members
Associate Members are Graduate Students or Postdoctoral Fellows in gene and cell therapy research programs. By joining ASGCT, Associate Members become part of an inclusive and support Association committed to preparing students and fellows for their careers after training.

Emeritus Members
Emeritus Members are ASGCT Active Members who have met certain requirements set out in the ASGCT Bylaws. ASGCT Members interested in becoming Emeritus Members should contact the ASGCT office for more information.
As a member of the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy, you have the opportunity to network, publish your research, and present your ideas through the ASGCT website, annual scientific sessions, and the Society’s official Journal, Molecular Therapy.
With nearly 2,000 members in the United States and worldwide, ASGCT is the largest association of individuals involved in genetic and cellular therapeutics. When you join ASGCT, you contribute to a unique multidisciplinary group.
