Dear ASGCT Members,
ASGCT needs the benefit of your participation in an important Society initiative.
We are in the very beginning stages of conducting a comprehensive strategic planning effort that will chart the direction and future course of ASGCT. As a member of ASGCT and as someone who is aware of the critical issues facing our field, you are vital for our process.
Next week each of you will receive a link to an online survey. The survey will only take 20 minutes of your time, but your thoughts and insights will be used to direct the Society for years.
I urge you to complete the survey at this critical time in both the history of our field and the Society. The surveys will be anonymous, so I encourage you to be candid.
After the results of the survey are compiled, a focus group of 25 individuals, including your elected Officers and Board members, will meet to develop an overall strategic plan for ASGCT. The entire planning process will be coordinated by a professional facilitator and the ad hoc group will participate in a face to face meeting this winter. The last meeting of this sort that was conducted by ASGCT was in 2004.
If you have any questions about this survey effort, please respond to this email.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in this important effort. I look forward to your input.
